26YD Club Events 2005 2006 // 2005 // 2004 // 2003 Nadryby 2005 Every year our group together with other WWII clubs and city of Nadryby organize battle exhibition nearby the village. For one weekend the entire village changes to the year 1945 and waiting for liberation. Our group build up here a big, for visitors opened camp full of “living history displays”. The camp was closed only during main exhibition of the all weekend – huge and well-prepared battle exhibition, which shows the last days of Third Reich army in the western Bohemia to thousands of visitors. More pictures you can see at page of Reenactment Photographer As, Hranice, Frantiskovy Lazne 2005 The most western part of our republic is As district. From this part came U.S. Army in 1945 and here our club together with another clubs and city governments made three days long celebrations of liberation. Visitors have a chance to see our camp and three battle exhibitions. In first battle we capture German medical group guarded by few snipers in Hranice city. Then we moved to the As city, where we attacked center of the city defeated by a huge number of the Wehrmacht and SS soldiers. This, hour long battle, finished by military parade nearby our camp and the Saturday was finished by nice “Victory ball” in city dance hall. Last day we moved through Frantiskovy Lazne, where we found a big German facility. It was a big battle, but we win! More pictures you can see at page of Reenactment Photographer Liberty Road 2005 Our best event during the year is “Liberty road”. During this event we took our military vehicles, our uniforms and equipment and ride across the country, where U.S. soldiers were in 1945. We are trying to find the smallest villages, the worse roads, the oldest people to remember them the end of the war. Official celebrations often forgot on this people in little towns, which welcomed the liberators in 1945. This is our way and our best event – to bring spirit of the liberation to people who lived it many years ago. More pictures you can see at page of Reenactment Photographer Pilsen liberation 2005 There is city, which is symbol of the end of the war in Czech Republic and this city is Called Pilsen. Every year the city government organizes here big celebrations. This year was 60th anniversary of liberation and our group (combined with 2nd Armored Division UK, DE, NL, USA) together with the city made really nice event. First we build a really big tent city nearby the center of the town. Can you imagine tent city for 60 soldiers, all the services like medic station, kitchen with mess hall, MP post, company office, field car repair station and a lot of vehicles? This was our camp. From this post we moved to all our activities: we made a honor guard during the opening of “General Patton Museum in Pilsen”, guides for veterans groups, living history displays through all of the city and we became a leading group of the biggest military parade in Pilsen for last 15 years. Then we made a parade in Rokycany city (nearby Pilsen) and during weekend we moved to the Prague. More pictures you can see at page of Reenactment Photographer Prague celebrations 2005 After the celebration in Pilsen ends our entire group (26th Infantry Division and 2nd Armored Division) moved to the Prage city and the same day and night we build huge military camp at the Letna in Prague. All the camp we build during night and during the day all of us made guards because we opened the camp (the only military camp which have been opened during this event here!) for public. During the day we have been part of a big military parade, which ended the Celebration of liberation in 1945 in Czech republic.
